Data from official source

The eXcellence 730PRO is an electronic machine built for quilting and large-scale projects: the long arm leaves 280x120 mm of clear space to the right of the needle, more than a plain hem ever needs. The hook is a horizontal full rotary type with a transparent cover, so you can see the bobbin thread level without opening it, and the upper feed is an independent device that clips over the presser foot to carry thick layers or slippery fabric through evenly.

Stitch selection runs through an LCD touch screen, not dials: 170 stitches including 10 buttonholes, stitch width up to 9 mm and 91 needle positions. Switching from straight stitch to zigzag is a one-step needle plate change, no screwdriver needed, and top speed reaches 1,000 stitches per minute.

At start-up the bobbin winder declutches and cuts the thread on its own, the needle threader is automatic and the thread cutter fires at the end of a seam too, so day-to-day upkeep stays light. It is a sewing and quilting machine, not an embroidery combo: anyone who also wants embroidery needs to look elsewhere in the same range.

02 · Summary

Pros and cons

In favour

  • 280x120 mm of clear space to the right of the needle: it carries quilts and large projects without pushing the fabric by hand
  • The independent upper feed clips over the presser foot and helps thick or slippery layers move together
  • Automatic needle threader: it skips threading the eye by hand at every bobbin change
  • The needle plate changes with a lever, not a screwdriver: switching from straight to zigzag takes seconds source

Worth knowing

  • No embroidery unit: it is a sewing and quilting machine, not a combo source
  • Stitch selection goes through the touch screen: anyone used to dials has to learn the menu
  • The long arm built for quilting takes up more table space than a compact model source
