Elna easycover

The easycover is a cover-stitch machine meant as a companion to a serger: it makes the cover hem and the chain stitch, it does not cut fabric and it does not finish raw edges the way an overlock does. Cover-stitch runs at 3 mm or 6 mm, and the chain stitch uses up to 3 needle positions, so the same machine handles both narrow hems and wider finishes.

"Tension Level Control" loosens the looper tension on its own when moving from heavy jersey to a thin fabric, something that would otherwise mean adjusting the dials at every fabric change; foot pressure stays manually adjustable. Differential feed runs from 0.5 to 2.25, stitch length from 1 to 4 mm, and top speed reaches 1,000 stitches per minute. The free arm lets you work cuffs and tubular hems without turning the garment.

Threading paths are colour-coded and the looper releases to make threading easier, but it is still manual threading, not air-assisted. It suits someone sewing garments at home who wants a professional-looking hem, used alongside a serger for the raw edges, not someone looking for overlock capability in the same machine.
