The 570 QE is a sewing and quilting machine with no embroidery module included (it stays an optional accessory). The integrated BERNINA Dual Feed pulls fabric from above and below together, and engages or disengages without fitting a separate foot: useful on stacked layers or fabric that slips. The extended free arm leaves 8.5 inches to the right of the needle, about 21.5 cm, room meant for maneuvering a whole quilt under the needle.

It sews at 1000 stitches per minute, reaches a 9 mm stitch width and has 1450 patterns with 16 fully automatic one-step buttonholes. The presser foot raises and lowers on its own with the foot control, the thread cutter is automatic, and the knee lever frees both hands to guide the quilt; the Hover function raises the foot while keeping the needle in the fabric, handy for turning the work without losing your place.
