Data from official source

The b77 is a computerized machine dedicated to sewing and quilting, with no embroidery module: it is the base the b79 is built on. The 5" colour touchscreen runs stitches and settings, and the integrated Dual Feed pulls fabric from above and below together, useful on stacked layers, faux leather or slippery fabric.

It has 500 stitches, a drop-in hook, stitch width up to 7 mm and 17 fully automatic one-step buttonholes thanks to the dedicated slide-on buttonhole foot. The work surface offers 230 mm to the right of the needle and extends with the slide-on table, handy for quilts and larger projects; the thread cutter is automatic and the knee lever frees both hands to guide the fabric.

It suits someone who wants a serious sewing machine without embroidery: anyone who also wants embroidered motifs in the same machine body should look at the b79, which shares the same chassis plus the embroidery module.

Worth knowing
