The 867-490322-M is a two-needle lockstitch machine with individually disengageable needle bars, built for decorative topstitching on car seats, leather goods and upholstery: where a twin-needle seam has to turn a corner and stay parallel, one needle bar is switched off from the keypad and lowered again once the piece has been turned. The large vertical hook and the three-way feed (bottom, needle and alternating feet) keep the material from shifting even on thick leather and cross seams.
The head has an integrated direct drive, so there is no separate motor or belt to order, and the DAC classic control with its OP1000 panel handles needle positioning and the sewing parameters. Thread trimmer, backtacking and presser foot lift are automatic as standard.
This is a machine for medium to heavy work (leather, padded parts, seat covers), not lightweight fabric: the distance between the two needles is fixed by the sewing equipment chosen at order, from a set of available gauges.
