Data from official source

The LH-3568A-7 is a two-needle lockstitch machine with an organized split needle bar: each needle bar follows its own stroke, so parallel topstitching stays straight even at corners where the fabric changes direction, the weak point of simpler double-needle machines. The head is semi-dry: the frame is greased and only the hook gets a minute amount of oil, so it won't stain light-colored garments.

It uses the series' standard hook, not the oversized hook built for heavy leather; stitch length runs up to 5 mm, and the presser foot lifts 7 mm by hand or 13 mm by the knee lifter, enough to clear denim's crossed seams without skipping stitches. The -7 variant's direct-drive motor shortens stop distance and adds needle penetration force on multi-layered material.

It's a production-line machine for jeans and medium- to heavy-weight garments: two parallel rows of stitching in one pass, not a machine for light fabric or for a single do-everything lockstitch line.

Pros and cons

In favour

  • Independent needle bars keep the two parallel rows of stitching straight even at corners source
  • The semi-dry head won't leave oil stains on light-colored garments
  • The knee lifter raises the foot up to 13 mm, enough to clear denim's crossed seams
  • The -7's direct-drive motor shortens stop distance and adds penetration force on thick stacks

Worth knowing

  • It uses the 134/DPx5 needle system, not the one found on the most common single-needle lockstitch machines — check spare stock before ordering
  • Stitch length tops out at 5 mm — longer decorative topstitching needs a different machine in the range
