The differences that matter

  • Built-in stitches: 1,450 on the 570 QE, 247 on the 710 → far more stitch choice on the Bernina.
  • Thread sensors: bobbin and top thread on the Bernina, bobbin only on the Pfaff → the Bernina also flags a run-out of the top thread.
  • Controls: foot pressure and knee lifter on the Bernina, automatic thread tension on the Pfaff → you intervene by hand on one, the machine decides on the other.

Which one to choose

Choose BERNINA 570 QE if…

Choose the 570 QE if you sew often and want to intervene: 1,450 stitches, 16 buttonhole types, 12 LED lights, adjustable foot pressure and a knee lifter. Sensors watch both the bobbin and the top thread. The compromise: automatic tension and the 250 mm to the right of the needle are listed for the Pfaff.

Choose Pfaff expression 710 if…

Choose the expression 710 if 247 stitches are enough and you want automatic thread tension and 250 mm to the right of the needle. It is rated up to 1,050 stitches per minute. The compromise: the sensor covers only the bobbin and the screen is 3.5 inches instead of 4.3.
