The HUSQVARNA VIKING Invisible Zipper Foot has two grooves under the sole that hold the zipper coils on both sides, keeping the zipper in place as you sew: the zipper is inserted before the seam is stitched, and once finished it stays hidden, invisible from the right side of the fabric.
It is compatible with HUSQVARNA VIKING accessory groups 1 through 9, so with the great majority of the brand's sewing machines with a snap-on foot mount. The maker recommends a zipper at least 3 cm longer than the opening, a centre-needle straight stitch and a stitch length between 2.5 and 3.
It is a specialist foot: outside invisible zippers it does not replace a regular zipper foot, which reaches the coils on one side only instead of both.
