The 68 AIRLOCK is a combo serger: overlock, cover-stitch, chainstitch and combo stitches on the same machine, with 31 stitches in total. Loopers thread with a burst of air, needles stay manual; the free arm is built in for hemming cuffs, and there are 5 LEDs over the work area.
Overlock runs from 3 to 7 mm wide with differential feed from 0.6 to 2.0, so it keeps stretch hems flat or builds deliberate gathers; cover-stitch reaches 2.8/5.6 mm and the combo stitch joins both operations in one pass on less stretchy fabrics. Micro Thread Control (mtc) lets you leave the tension set even when the cutting width or fabric thickness changes. It sews at 1300 stitches per minute and has a built-in cut-offs bin.
It suits someone who wants overlock and cover-stitch in one machine body: switching between the two still needs a physical conversion of the machine, not a simple program change.
