This is a mechanical machine with a vertical oscillating hook and 32 stitches – basic, decorative and elastic – adjustable up to 4 mm in length and 5 mm in width. The buttonhole is sewn in a single automatic pass, identical every time, and the needle threader is automatic: two steps that usually slow beginners down happen instantly here.
The free arm appears once the flat bed is removed, useful for sleeves, cuffs and trouser hems. The thread cutter is a small blade on the side that you pull the thread across by hand, not a button; the handwheel and stitch selector are finished in soft-touch material, and an LED light lights up the work area.
It suits someone starting to sew simple garments and repairs regularly, without a screen to manage: the elastic stitches are enough for lightweight jersey, but anyone after wide decorative stitching or stored settings should look at an electronic machine.
