The PLC-2760-7 is a two-needle post-bed lockstitch machine from JUKI's PLC-2700 series, built for car seats, sofas and other pieces that are already padded or shaped into a volume, where a flat bed can't get close enough to the seam. Feed is unison-feed: the feed dog and needle move together, and the presser foot lifts up to 20 mm automatically (10 mm by hand), enough room to slide corners and pre-assembled seams under the needle.
The vertical-axis hook holds twice the standard bobbin capacity, cutting down bobbin changes on long seams, and the -7 variant's direct-drive motor adds an automatic thread trimmer as standard. Stitch length runs up to 12 mm, useful for the decorative topstitching seen on armrests and backrests.
It's a shop machine for leather, automotive or furniture work that handles three-dimensional pieces every day: the narrow post under the needle is what sets it apart from a flat-bed machine, not a shortcoming. Like any industrial head in this class, it needs its own table, motor and controller.

Pros and cons
In favour
- The narrow post under the needle lets you sew pieces that are already assembled or padded, which a flat bed can't do
- The auto-lifter raises the foot up to 20 mm, enough to clear corners and pre-assembled seams
- The double-capacity hook cuts down bobbin changes on long seams
- The -7's direct-drive motor adds an automatic thread trimmer as standard
Worth knowing
- Needles run from Nm100 to Nm180 — out of range for light fabric
- Built for leather and heavy padded work — oversized for light fabric
