Juki MO-6904S

The MO-6904S is Juki's single-needle industrial overlock from the general-purpose MO-6900S line: a plain overlock built to finish a fabric edge without setting up for joining two plies. The shielded needle bar bushings and cartridge oil filter are built to extend service life under continuous shop use.
Differential feed adjusts from 1:2 for gathering down to 1:0.7 for stretching, useful for running stretch fabric without a wavy edge, and overedge width reaches 4.8 mm. Anyone already running other Juki machines of the same generation can fit existing gauges and devices with no extra machining.
It's a finishing-department machine built to do one job all day, not a multi-needle general overlock: joining two plies with more thread calls for another model in the same line with more needles.

Pros and cons
In favour
- Single-needle design finishes the edge without setting up the extra threads of the multi-needle versions
- Sews up to 8,500 stitches per minute, the pace of a plain-edge production line
- Differential feed reaches 1:2 for gathering, so stretch fabric runs without a wavy edge
- The hook uses the common DCx27 needle system, easy to restock
Worth knowing
- It's a single-needle overlock — it doesn't sew the multi-thread safety stitch of the higher models in the same line
- Overedge width tops out at 4.8 mm — thicker material or wider seam margins call for another version in the line
