Data from official source

The MO-6714S is the 2-needle industrial overlock from Juki's general-purpose MO-6700S line: a 4-thread machine built to move between light and medium-heavy fabric without swapping machines. The 24.5 mm needle bar stroke belongs to the whole series, not just this model — it's the mechanical platform Juki also builds its safety-stitch and single-needle overlocks on.

Differential feed adjusts on a micro-adjustable lever, from 1:2 for gathering down to 1:0.7 for stretching, useful for running jersey and stretch fabric without a wavy edge. It sews at up to 3.2 mm needle gauge and up to 4.8 mm overedge width, covering both narrow trims and wider seams on the same body.

It's a general-purpose shop machine meant to sew different jobs every day, not a line specialist locked to one fabric: stitch settings stay manual, with no automated changeover.

Pros and cons

In favour

  • Differential feed reaches 1:2 for gathering, so jersey and stretch fabric run without a wavy edge
  • Sews up to 7,000 stitches per minute, enough to keep pace with a production line
  • The hook uses the common DCx27 needle system, easy to restock
  • Lubrication is automatic, keeping routine maintenance to a minimum

Worth knowing

  • Needle gauge tops out at 3.2 mm — wider seams call for another model in the series
  • Maximum foot lift is 7 mm — less room than walking-foot industrials give on thicker stacks
