Data from official source

The MF-7500D-U11/UT is the dry-frame version of JUKI's MF-7500 industrial coverstitch machine: a dry frame mechanism removes the most common cause of oil stains on light-colored garments, while keeping the series' base speed. It sews top-and-bottom covering stitch with 2, 3 or 4 needles, with gauge options of 5.6, 6.0 or 6.4 mm depending on the job.

Like every thread-trimmer version in the range, it runs a direct-drive motor: no V-belt to replace, a shorter stop, and lower power draw. Stitch length reaches 3.6 mm, and the UY128GAS needle is the same industry standard used on most industrial coverstitch machines.

It's the pick for light or delicate garments — underwear, fine knitwear — where even a faint trace of oil on the frame would show: the hook still needs its lubrication maintained, since it's fed from the oil tank.

Pros and cons

In favour

  • The dry frame removes the most common cause of oil stains on light-colored garments
  • The direct-drive motor shortens stop distance and has no V-belt to replace
  • The automatic thread trimmer is standard on the /UT
  • The UY128GAS needle is the industry standard, so spares are easy to find source

Worth knowing

  • The frame is dry, but the hook is still fed from the oil tank — lubrication still needs checking
  • It only does coverstitch: straight stitching or overlock needs a different head source
