The AMS-224ENGS16060 is a program-controlled cycle machine: a monolithic feeding frame carries the material under the needle along the programmed pattern, with no manual guidance during stitching. It's built for medium to heavyweight material — technical apparel, automotive interiors, industrial goods — and runs up to 2,500 stitches per minute, with stitch length adjustable from 0.1 to 12.7 mm in 0.05 mm steps.
The intermediate presser changes height during the cycle, driven by a stepping motor, so it follows changes in material thickness without operator input. The double-capacity hook cuts down on bobbin changes over long cycles; an automatic thread trimmer and a barcode reader that recalls sewing parameters round out the automation.
It needs a compressed-air supply (0.5-0.55 MPa) and floor space sized to the feeding frame chosen, up to 2,300 x 600 mm. This is a production-line machine, not a workshop one: semi-dry lubrication and a direct-drive servo motor are built for continuous operation, not occasional use.

Pros and cons
In favour
- The intermediate presser follows changes in material thickness during the cycle, with no need for the operator to step in source
- The double-capacity hook cuts down on bobbin changes over long cycles
- An automatic thread trimmer and a barcode reader remove manual steps between cycles
- Semi-dry lubrication puts less oil on the fabric than a continuous oil bath would
Worth knowing
- It needs a compressed-air supply at 0.5-0.55 MPa: without a compressor on the line, it won't run source
- The largest feeding frame is 2,300 x 600 mm: production floors need dedicated space around the machine source
- It's a fixed-cycle machine: it sews the pattern loaded into the frame, not a free-hand line change on the fly
