This is a more compact sit-down longarm than the Capri: 16 inches of throat space and 8.25 inches of clearance, sewing up to 1,500 stitches per minute with a horizontal rotary hook and an M-class bobbin. The color touch screen on the front of the machine runs speed, presets, and a basting mode that forms a stitch at fixed time intervals, from half a second to two seconds, to tack layers without pins.
As standard it has no automatic stitch regulation: speed is set with the foot pedal and +/- buttons, with an adjustable top limit and two presets to recall. Stitch regulation (TruStitch/InSight) is a separate accessory, and once added it lives in the dedicated InSight table rather than in the machine. A low-bobbin estimator is included as standard and warns as the remaining thread runs low.
It's an entry point into sit-down longarm quilting for anyone with less space or a smaller budget than the Capri, who accepts sewing at a set speed rather than an automatically regulated stitch; anyone who wants regulation included from the start should look at a model that ships with InSight.
